A Day in the Life

It takes my Mom forever to do anything!

She keeps telling me that I need to get used to it because she is a serious procrastinator (whatever that is).  Anyways, I waited for hours today to go on that walk she talked about.  I just sat there in my bouncy chair staring at that lion dangling in front of me, all happy with that goofy smile.  Every day I try so hard to get him. I can sometimes get that monkey, but he just rattles.  The lion is the one I want. One day he will be mine, oh yes...

But I digress…
Finally we left for our walk.  I was feeling good, catching some rays, lookin’ up at the trees, checking out the neighborhood.  Then my eyes started feeling very heavy and I knew I was going down.  Next thing I remember we were back home.  Man, I try to stay awake for our adventures around the city, but my car seat is so cozy…

I've been feeling much better lately.  I'm glad good old righty is back in shape and flailing around like lefty.  It’s much easier trying to get that lion with two good arms...
I'm still wearing my special harness.  My mom is real finicky about it, but I hardly even notice it's on.  She says I'm gonna stink since I can't take a bath, but she gives me a sponge bath every day, so I don't know what she's worried about.  She even bought me a new bath tub so I'm more comfy taking a bath when I get it off.  I can't wait to use it!

My Mom and Dad are a riot!  They make funny noises at me and I do it right back to them. They seem so surprised each time I do and they think the sounds I make are very funny.  They're very easy to entertain.  I don’t want to reveal all of my many talents just yet though.  So far I’ve shown them smiling and cooing.  Today I gave my mom a bit of a tease by almost laughing, but I thought I’d hold off on that for a bit.  I thought I gave the woman a heart attack the way she reacted.  I think I’ll smile and coo a little longer to play it safe.

Anyways, something new happening in my crib...
A mobile!  I'm so lucky!  I've been wanting one forever...or, at least as long as I've been sleeping in my crib.  Mom and Dad got it for me and I was so glad because things were getting pretty boring in my room, no offense.  I mean, there’s only so long that a gal can make a white ceiling seem interesting, if you know what I mean.  But it is fantastic!  All colorful and spinny and musical.  Sometimes I don’t even want to close my eyes because it’s so wonderous.  Mom and Dad don’t like that too much, but it’s just so interesting.  Maybe my Mom will post a picture so you can see it and all its glory.

Well, I can’t wait to see what happens tomorrow.  Mom and Dad say I'm turning 2 months old.  I hear that 2 months is the new 1 month, so I'm feeling pretty good about it...                                              Every day is a new adventure!
Here I am in my Pavlik harness.  It helps my femur heal correctly.  More importantly, here's my new mobile!
